Family Education for Christ

Family Education for Christ's Member Opportunities

Our Activities:

Family Education For Christ has a varitey of activities throughtout the school year for both members and non-members. Monthly group meetings take place on third Tuesdays, September through November and January through May, and provide a time of fellowship, support, and learning in a casual, open setting. These meetings are open to all friends of homeschooling in our area, and cover a variety of learing and discussion topics related to family life and homeschooling.

Our annual kick-off event provides an evening of fun and information where member families gather and prospective families can visit with club and activitiy leaders to learn about group opportunities that are available for their children. This event takes place every August and usually involves a special sweet treat!

From skate days to park meets, there are plenty of activities for the whole family to get involved. Join us for a meeting and find out more. We'd love to meet you and answer your questions about our group!

Our Clubs:

FEFC sponsors many clubs and groups for our member families. To find out more about individual groups and clubs, please follow the navigational links in the menu at the top of our webpages.

  • Our Middle School students have the opportuinty to join Middle School Rocks!, a group for students in 6th - 8th grades. This group meets quarterly for fun and fellowship. Activities include movie nights, game nights, costume events, and more!

  • High School students in 9th - 12th grades can join The L.O.F.T. which is our longstanding group just for high school students. This group meets monthly for service and social activities which include everthing from game nights and bowling to volunteer projects and our annual Spring Formal.

  • The FEFC Youth Theater Ensemble was founded in 2016 and provides homeschooled students an authentic stage experience. This ensemble has staged thirteen productions with a focus on classical literature favorites. Student audition information will be available in late fall.

  • Vox Rationis Savannah is FEFC’s very own speech and debate club.  The club is coached by a member of the National Christian Forensics and Communications Association. NCFCA believes that “formal speech and debate can provide a means for homeschooled students to learn and exercise analytic and oratorical skills, addressing life issues from a biblical worldview in a manner that glorifies God”.

  • FEFC sponsors two scouting groups for our members: American Heritage Girls and Trail Life. These organizations promote the developement of Christian character, purpose and service under the umbrella of these two national Christian groups. Member families with students in K-12 are able to participate and volunteer with these groups.

Support:

From meetings and online groups, individual and group mentoring opportunities, learning events and prayer chains, FEFC members strive to encourage one another as we educate our children. In this group, every member is valuable and every family matters. We are here to share our skills and experience freely with one another, to build one another up, and to be a place of help and community for our members. There are many ways for each family to serve within the group, and even more ways to find resources to help each family succeed and grow!
